My MYERS family is descended from George MYERS b. 1765 and Jane
WALLIS b. 1767. It was concentrated on the East Yorkshire villages of
Hornsea, Seaton, Sigglesthorne, Leven and Long Riston. The Myers
were mainly market gardeners, domestic servants and agricultural
labourers.
Another MYERS, MYAS, MIERS family is focused on the nearby villages
of Sproatley, West Newton, Withernick, Coniston and Skirlaugh. Given
the proximity of these villages, it is likely that George MYERS b. 1765
was connected to Thomas MYAS b. 1710.
