Robert McAdirey (Irish) arrived 17 Mar 1892 aged 24 from Liverpool on the
City of New York.
Lizzie MCADOREY, Irish from Antrim arrived 12 Sept 1904 aged 29y a widow on
the SS Columbia from Londonderry.  Visiting a friend Lizzie McADOREY in
Inglewood, New York.
William MCADOREY, Irish from Randalstown, arrived on 19 April 1910 aged 17
arrived on the Furnessia from Glasgow. He had been staying with his uncle
William Thompson in Eskylane Randalstown and went to the US to visit his
mother Lizzie McAdorey of 29 Palaside Ave Inglewood, New Jersey. William was
born in Larne.
Elizabeth MCADOREY British from New York arrived on 4 December 1919 (aged 47
and married) arrived on the Columbia from Glasgow.  She had been visiting
her son Daniel McAdorey who was living (probably with his Uncle) in Eskalyne
Randalstown.
McAdoreys/McAdorys in the Southern States
In a publication called "Original Lists of Protestant Immigrants to South
Carolina 1763-1773" compiled by Jane Revill details passengers arriving in
Charleston SC on the
Brig Lord Dunagannon (master Robert Montgomery)
sometime in 1767/8. The Brig is thought to have sailed from Antrim (?). They
were settled under the SC Bounty Act of 1761 which paid a headage to the
ship owner for every passenger landed and gave a land survey title to
immigrants who were able to show they were Protestant. Family names on the
Brig Lord Dunagannon were:
O'Neal, Boden, Leg, Fleming, Green, Thomson, Nelly, Brannan, Glen, Moore,
McKewn, Wallace, Graham, Reed, Nickels, Clenningding, Brownlee, Bailey,
Murdock, English, McClune, McDowal, Martin, Kinnard, Long, McLean, Dunbar,
Robins, Johnston, McAdory, Meglamery, Waters, Cathcart, Dezill, Beaty, Bell,
Waite.
The ancestor who left port
of Antrim Ireland in 1767 was Thomas McAdory 30, with
wife Ann McAdory 26 and 2 daughters, Elizabeth McAdory 6 and Martha McAdory 4.
Thomas was granted 250 acres in Granville or Craven County and they moved
into SC and Mississippi.

McAdory Cemetery is located in the Duncanville area of  Tuscaloosa Co., Al.
McAdorys of  Jefferson County Alabama
The history of Thomas and Celia (McAshan) McAdory, whose parents came from  
Ireland, and who moved from Hopkinsville, Ky. to Alabama about 1818. In 1828, a
oneroom school building was built near the present site of Pleasant Hill Methodist
Church. Some of the school’s early teachers included Thomas McAdory, Isaac
Wellington Sadler, Anderson Sadler, Alice Thomas Sadler and Nancy Sadler. One
of the couples among these earlier settlers was Thomas McAdory II and his wife,
Emily Owen McAdory. They settled on land and built their home near the site of
Pleasant Hill Cemetery and the old school house at Pleasant Hill. They were the
parents of three sons, Thomas James, Hennington Owen and Isaac Wellington.
Their three sons attended school in that old one-room school house.
The McAdory Plantation House
was built around 1840 on an estate of about 2,000 acres by Thomas McAdory, Jr.

Robert Joseph McADOREY was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on July 24, 1935.
He died on February 5 at St. Catharines, Ontario. Bob McADOREY was born
within earshot of the Niagara Falls. His father, An Irish Catholic, worked as a
machinist on the railway and the whole family lived near both the tracks and the
roundhouse at Niagara Falls, Ontario. As a radio and television personality, Bob
McADOREY helped usher in radio's rock 'n' roll era and set the musical agenda
for a generation of Toronto teens.
McAdoreys of Mobile Alabama
Two brothers emigrated to the USA  from Lenagh in County Antrim in the period
1845-47.
Robert MCADOREY born 1812 . 1848 sailed from Belfast to New Orleans on board
Sir Colin Campbell. He arrived  6th March 1848 with wife Catherine, children
James and  Catherine and infant  Ellen. Robert settled in Mobile Alabama and
became a building contractor.
James MCADOREY born 1811 was also a building contractor in Mobile Alabama.
He married Anne O'Brien born Ireland 1827.
