1901 Census
The Roman Catholic McAdoreys  in South Antrim
were mainly clustered in the townlands of Lenagh,
Tannaghmore and Maghereagh in the
 1901
Census . Denis McAdorey's father was farming on
a owner occupied  farm in Maghereagh; his uncle
was farming on a rented farm in Tannaghmore.
The McAdoreys in Lenagh were probably related.

The McAdoreys are also recorded in the
rent rolls
for the Earl O'Neill's estate at Shane's Castle.
